Malteser tiffin

From Mary Berry

Ingredients:
• 100g butter
• 200g milk chocolate
• 3 tbsp golden syrup (or honey)
• 250g rich tea biscuits, crushed
• 100g Maltesers
• 200g milk chocolate for topping
• 100g Maltesers for topping

Directions:
1️⃣ Line a 9-inch baking tray with parchment paper and set it aside.

2️⃣ In a heatproof bowl, melt together the butter, golden syrup, and milk chocolate. You can melt these ingredients in the microwave in short bursts, stirring in between, or over a gentle heat on the stove.

3️⃣ Once the mixture has melted, stir in the crushed biscuits and Maltesers. Mix everything until well combined. (For extra texture, crush a few Maltesers and leave the rest whole.)

4️⃣ Spoon the mixture into the lined baking tray and press down evenly with the back of a spoon.

5️⃣ Melt the milk chocolate for the topping and spread it evenly over the base. Use a spatula to smooth it out.

6️⃣ Scatter the remaining Maltesers over the top, crushing some and leaving others whole for a fun crunch.

7️⃣ Refrigerate the tiffin for at least 2 hours until it's firm. Once set, slice into squares and enjoy!
