Russian Tea Cakes

Ingredients:

½ cup Butter, softened
¼ cup powdered sugar
3-4 drops of vanilla
1¼ cups Flour
¼ salt
1/3 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Powdered sugar for rolling

Method:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Mix together the butter, powdered sugar and vanilla in a medium 
sized mixing bowl.
Add the flour, salt and nuts. Mix again. At first the batter will look 
crumbly, keep mixing until it becomes more paste like consistency.
Roll the dough into one inch balls and place on a cookie sheet. You 
can put these kind of close together because they don't rise or 
expand.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until they are set not brown.
Allow to cool on the cookie sheet for five minutes.
Put powder sugar in a small bowl.
Roll the cookies in the powdered sugar while still warm. 
Cool before eating.
