Asma's chicken curry
i didn't actually follow a recipe. it's how i learned to make that
recipe growing up but i think this recipe should get you close.
tomato chicken
2lb chicken pieces (with or without bones, i used a mix of boneless
chicken thigh and breast meat cubed)
1/2 cup oil
2 large onions sliced
2 lb's diced tomatoes
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1.5 tsp chillie powder (or to your taste, i use half the amount but
you may want even less, you can always add more later)
1/8 tsp turmeric
4 green chillies (i use one)
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
2 tsp salt (or less, adjust to your taste)
heat oil and brown sliced onions. add chicken and ginger garlic paste
and cook until the water dries. add i cup of water and the remaining
ingredients. cook until chicken is tender and the oil comes up.
